In its aspiration to contribute to a net-zero future, Rovensa Group has decided to take action to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions in its production operations, by using since 2021 green electricity generated from 100% renewable sources in its industrial sites in France, Ireland, Portugal, and Spain.
The use of this clean energy will help us to decrease our carbon footprint across our operations and make our industrial sites more efficient, without having a negative environmental impact, such as the release of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide.
To improve environmental performance, our plants use appropriate management systems, processes, and equipment to guarantee the highest efficiency level of energy consumption and reduction of GHG emissions.
At ASCENZA, for instance, we have an energy management system that provides control methods, as well as evaluation and decision tools to reduce energy consumption and emissions. At Idai Nature, we have the first Passivhaus certified building in Spain (estimated 80% reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions); and at Tradecorp, we have an ambitious action plan that combines energy efficiency, sustainable use of natural resources, and reduction of CO2 emissions.
All our business units are committed to ensuring a responsible pattern of production that lessens the impact on the environment.
